I m not a big math guy but I just did some stuff in pokerstove..correct me if I m wrong please.
Let me give you an example..
You open 55 to 4x and a LAG 3bets to 12x 100bb deep..his 3bet % is 12
You decide to 4bet to 28bb and he jams ..you need to call 72bb to win 200bb giving you 2.8 to 1..so you need around 35% equity to break even on the call ..99-22 has 35% against his value range (99+ AK AQ) so its a call.
so you break even when the money goes in but he folds more than half his 3betting range giving you the dead money
doesnt this make 4betting small pairs extremly profitable? Maybe even some Axs or broadway that have similar equity
am I wrong here? Why arent more people doing it?
